I love the Sperry's but have lost a few over the years, Its a sorry mofo that will steal your shoes. These are what I sport now. Don't hate on the low buck practical solution.

if you have snaps for your cover you could make a custom walk way out of some nice cloth backed light weight cover material that fastens to your exsititing snaps. when your doing hot laps roll it up and toss it under a seat or something and when it's time to get the party started roll it out snap it down and enjoy. At the end of the day bring it home hit with the hose and set it out in the sun to dry. Kinda of a PITA but alot less of a PITA than a new paint job. I have never made one but have always thought it would be a good idea

I just got a pair of these in black, & they are some really comfortable shoes. The soles on the style I got don't pick up rocks, etc, & the type of rubber they use has a lot of grip. They have several different styles & colors.
