First real test today.
5-blades, 29"-16,75/15 rake. Outward rotation. On plane in 5-6 sec.
90 mph at 3100 rpm. Will change the direction and do another test before putting on the 32" props.
Could have needed some tab but they act like light switches at high speeds... To much oilflow. Will fix that next week..
Trim on the drives work fine.
Everything OK so far

I knew you would get her to start running good, just got to listen to the people who have done it before!

I'm very happy for you guys, now go get some real speed from her, you should break 100 just keep playing!

One thing my dad engrained in me after designing his custom 70' sport fish with arnesons is...propellers propellers propellers. Surface drives are so finicky. Good luck with the project.

Been testing different propellers, fuelloads, ballast etc.
Best setup so far is 29"-16,75 propellers turning in. Top 90 mph at 3100rpm.
Tried the 32"-18 dia but as expected they were to big. Speedwise ok at 88 mph but only 2700 rpm. 77 in first gear.
Will look for some more testpropellers here on OSO before ordering raceprops.

The weather is getting worse here in the northern part of Sweden so there is only a couple of more weeks to test.
Today the sun is shining but the wind is about 30-35 mph with 6-8 ft waves. Short, steep waves where you have to balance the boat carefully.
The trimtank is only about 50 gallons but I will need at least 130- 150 gallons in the bow to get the balance right in headseas. The diesels are heavy...
