Actually, I said motors and headers, and I've always done the drives when doing the motors.
And yes, you could probably get by with just doing the top ends on the motors, and run the drives until they pop. Just trying to help some poor sole get an idea of the REAL cost of performance boating. For me, at least, the cost was NEVER less than what I estimated. On the Formula, I never imagined that I'd have to replace the headers, buy new drives, rebuild engines, install new headliner, etc, but I did. I'm with you on unexpected repairs. I've had enough boats over the year to know how that goes. I've had enough experience as well to know what the "REAL cost of performance boating" is as well. |

Gill Manifolds also had issues with corrosion and also Reversion issues I read in an article authored by Bob Teague.
I had Gills on a previous boat, and they were going to need replacement. I currently have 3 sets of CMI's on my 45 with no problems ( not a 525 boat ), and I love my Tripple Engines, would never go back to twins. A little more more cost maintainence wise, but I like the other benefits having tripps provides. |
ITS SOLD :lolhit:

If any of us could comprehend this concept, we'd be talking in a car forum! :drink:
I was also wondering if the Formula sold. Looks like a nice boat. |
