F-off ...and you are the ASShat ...

Protect others ? ...against your foolish behavior ? ..... GOOD move. INSURANCE is there to protect YOURself from other people's claims on your assets.

...and I have never lived in a mobile home .... Again - THERE you go ... running your mouth ...with NOTHING to back-it-up.

I get almost twice the milage as my 2.5's, and They were fuel efficient. I was just going on what Merc told me but i could be wrong. I was asking if they had mapped their fuel burn at various RPMs and was told to use the basic formula to take the HP and divide by 10 and you'd get the WOT burn per hour other than that he had no info to give me ?. I've got the long shafts so max RPM for me is 5850 before overspeed alarms go off.

You are an idiot, and extremely lucky. Clearly you have never been on the receiving end of a bull chit lawsuit. It happens every single day.

Just one example of many... Tie your boat up at the restaurant, while you are inside eating some a hole in a $800 bayliner rafts off of you because there are no more slips. His fat girlfriend slips on your deck and cracks her head. In this F'd up world, YOU could be found liable for part of those damages. Not worth it to me to save a few hundred bucks a year. I burn more gas every weekend than my insurance costs me for a year, but you don't "get" that either.

Buy a BlowBote.

THX for your genuine first-response .... your second ...NOT so much.

A couple of 100 dollars a year ? .... NO problem. But what some of these gauys are saying ...it is 500$ a month. Big diff there.

And JUST WHAT is your PERSONAL experience with a ROI on your insurance expenses ? .....and your example ? ... EVER HEAR of a non-slip paint application ON your deck?

Yes, my insurance is about $900 per year. My boat runs 78 MPH on it's best day, with a tailwind, down hill. (e.g. - it's slow)

Anytime you move into an extreme performance boat experience makes a huge difference on the premium. It's like a student pilot flying a mig. Huge insurance risk, huge premium. $500 a month is very realistic for the big hardware.

I have personally been sued for BS. The details are irrelavent, and it was not boating related. My wife was also involved in an accident with an underisured driver, $14k in damage, didn't cost me a dime. My insurance ROI has been quite good.

I don't get into pissing matches on here, I just call them like I see them.

Hope that helps.

...and NON-SKID on my deck? Forget it. Anyone who doesn't have the courtesy to use my NON-SKID swim platform (Stupid fat girlfreind from above) deserves to bust their azz. And with the gloss up there, they certainly will

Then they can go after my insurance, while I have another beer and laugh.

THANK YOU for your semi-sincere response.

What's helicopter insurance cost?
How much is FAA licensed maintenance?
Is starting cost about $500K for a copter? That's $200K more than I've spent in 7 years on my hole in the water, including purchase, tax, insurance, fuel, maintenance, etc.

Can't argue the fuel though. A friend offered to give me a ride in his plane. I asked to fly from Everett to Mt. St. Helens by way of Mt. Rainier and back. He sighed and said that'd be a lot of fuel. I asked how much. He said at least 20 gallons. I about fell down laughing. He didn't get it.

Insurance?
Always had it. I hit something and busted a gimbal ring, prop and drive, and they fixed it. Repair bill was what I've paid for insurance over those years. My rates did not go up. Thanks Stacy!

The real question though.
How many HPD do you get?
That'd be hours per drive.
I've been fortunate???? at 100+hours.
