ILMOR in MI where the drives were final assembled.

Unknown, out of propeller & haven't been able to get my hands on another set of wheels big enough. I run Hering 16.5 x 37 5 blade SCL props & most guys have the High HP thicker props. I need a set of 38's & 39's.

Wow that thing must fly! What gears are you running you can't go down to make your props work?

Any before and after pictures? What is wrong with the "as supplied" castings from Merc, Ilmor, and Imco?

1.50 gears give wicked acceleration, tested 1.39's & while that may increase top speed capability as well as increase the fuel efficiency it's not how I use my boat. I've gotten all caught up in posting big numbers before but the amount of time I run the boat at WOT on the wood is probably less than 15% overall so why configure it like that??

Tall gears w/ props for big top speed #'s won't get you on plane w/ 5 on board & full of fuel on a 90*+ summer day.

Others suggest a 2nd set of props for the best of both worlds but lets face it they are not CHEAP!

FYI
I sharpened the IMCO SC skegs and trimmed 1/16th off my innercooler PU's and gained 3 MPH.
From 99.5 to 102.5

Wilson did our lowers and they did a beautiful job. Everything is symmetrical and sharp. I am looking forward to resuming our dialing in/testing this spring.

Chesapeake Bay, mostly. Engines aren't quite done yet. In the VELOCITY section there is a 41 Upgrades, you can read all about them. Thanks Bob
