Lol I know! The 29 just ran 101 mph and on the limiter with the new larger prop. Now changing the gear ratio, as mercury does not make anything bigger. Should be interesting.

Just Read this entire thread! What's with all the pissin and moanin? It's Real! It's New! And it's Fast! Good Work! Nuff Said! Rich

It is worth sying that we don't know what it might do in any kinda big water asyet? Time will surely afford us this information.

Can you please post the final gear ratio of the drive once that's been altered, prop pitch and prop diameter? |
101 with a stock merc 600 is very impressive! Nice work guys!

Here's a quick clip from the boat this morning. Watch it in 1080p for best picture. We tested the same set up as the 96.7 and it ran 96.9 today. Had to keep it trimmed in off the limiter because its still hard on it. More props and testing to be done later this week. There's still more left.

That's the ray marine E7, pretty nice piece. Works with engine management data, navigation and syncs with iPhone. You can watch the engine data on your iPhone or iPad :)

I'd like to know base price, simplest layup/build w xr drive, all white interior w no power.
Figure I'd just have to add my own power and exhaust. |

This boat will run into the same problem all the big single engine boats have............. physics. |

Seems your theory is wrong the boat seems to be hauling some serious tail and putting up some very nice numbers especially with the power it has!

Agreed. Texomas physics theory was biased and baseless. -He has an old school heavy boat with twins for sale. totally different animal.
I was just a little bothered by his baseless accusations as well as stating the bilge was painted black to hide the oil? If the boat is not to your cupe of tea then fine but all the assumptions made by him were a little ridiculous. Bottom line is outerlimits did a great job with their 29 and with the speeds they are achieving it will raise the bar on the high end smaller boat's being built. |

Here's how they vary in real life. One 32 doug wright (34 with bustle) stern drive cat with merc 525's 125MPH dialed in with two people onboard. One 32 doug wright (34 with bustle) stern drive boat with twin 600's. dropped in the water with a set of props and four people onboard. 137MPH and pulled a whole lot harder than the 525's getting there. I think the OL is a great boat but if you're comparing this boat with a 525 versus a 600 your comparing apples and oranges. |
Can't wait until someone else builds a new boat. Had enough of this one.

It is quite funny. 27 pages dedicated to a single engine 29 foot boat. It MUST be winter. :D
BTW It's always boating season down here in Florida |

I wouldn't necessarily say it's because of winter, I just think it's more of the fact that in reality I don't believe there has been another v bottom in the same size to reach the same speeds with the given power. A lot of the pages have a lot of bs.
