Knot 4 me is right. Those nosecones, will if anything, slow her down and make the boat handle worse, epecially with the stock steering, since the front part of the drives are moved beyond where they turn and therefore put even a greater load on the steering. They can also push the transom up, which in turn amplifies your bow steer. yikes! When you heve it looked over, have the shop take them off and re-finish the drives. Also, if the boat came with M+, yes run those, much better props for this hull. As I mentioned earlier, you want props with bowlift, the M+ and Revolution4 has that. The B1 does not and is yet another thing that can contribute to bowsteer when trimmed wrong. Just curious. What made you go with the B1s when the boat is new to you and you haven't run the M+s?

do this simple test, have someone hold the wheel and see if you can move your outdrives by hand, they should be tight, if they move your gimbal is worn out, the gimbal is a square steel pin at the top of your transom assembly, the gimbal ring is aluminum and corrodes over time, with a salt water boat they all go bad eventually,

I have never heard of a prop issue causing a boat to all of a sudden take a sharp turn, maybe i'll learn something new but I would check the gimbal.

I'm guessing that is on the wish-o-meter and not GPS.

My initial thought was bow steer do to leaving drives trimmed all the way in, then I kept reading and see where others have same opinion.

Good luck and wear that lanyard, especially under these conditions

Take a strait edge on your drives from the back of the bullet twards the front of the boat. Do this on both sides and take a measurement to the tip of your nose cone. Make sure it is 100% the same measurement on both sides. If they are crooked then you can have real issus. I am with every one else however that said bow stear from being trimmed down to much. You can also when the boat is on the traler grab the cavitation plate and try and lift up and see if there is any slop. Go side to side and look for any slop or play at the pivot pin at the tiller arm and were it trims up and down.

So nice to back home. LOL.. I can catch up all the stuff on may fav. site.
Many good points. Even some play on theoutdrives, gimble issues, props ,etc, would not make a "sudden" turn or hook. Not knowing exactly how "sudden" turn you epxperienced. I would have some experienced driver take it out and see what and how things happen. If at WOT you loose RPM's on the starboardmotor, (like when it goes to guardian mode) your props will act like an anchor. The boat will turn like you through an anchoe overboard. Happend to me years ago with 496's when, one went into guardian mode, due to fuel issues. DOn't think your 454's have a guardian mode, but if you loose power to one motor? (at WOT) the simptoms are similar.
