What does your significant other think about boating?

Mine doesn't hate boating at all but she does hate my obsession with them. I probably check the forums here 3-4 times a day and almost every weekend I take at least 4-6 hours to go to the shop and clean or fine tune something. When we are on the water drinks are flowing so life is good.

Mine is all for it and the kids live for it. The wife helps clean and wax it, she knows how to tow it and back it in, she's ok with speed up to about 50, much over that and I'm getting slugged in the arm. She doesn't understand my addiction to boats but she tolerates it because she knows I love it.
When we have the kids (ages 3 and 4) with us it's a little harder for her to enjoy because they constantly are wanting her to do something for them. When just the two of us can go, which is maybe once per season, she loosens up a good bit and I can let it run a little.

When I met my woman I had a 21' bowrider she liked it got into wakeboarding. A year later I bought a velocity 260 took it out a few times then came across a 322 baja for a good deal. Once she saw the 322 she said buy it. Now shes all about weekending and island hopping the gulf islands. The ride and the security of the twins along with the toilet and cabin make it the perfect boat for us.

Its not her thing, but she likes going to Atlantic City for lunch if we take the inside. Not a real ocean person I did a poker run with her once the last 8 miles were in the ocean. Coming out of the inlet facing 5-6 footers told her to hang on I have to stay on top, the look on her face was priceless.
