So my wife and I are at Desert Storm. We launch and retrieve at a lot of different ramps, lake and ocean. My wife is in the truck waiting her turn to back in to pick up me in the boat at the Nautical Inn ramp. She is in the normal line up spot and next to go. Some guy pulls up and starts to pass her. As he gets along side he sees her looking at him like WTF? He stops and gets out and comes over to her window and says "Are you waiting to pick up a boat" She says Yea. He says, well I didn't know because your lights aren't on. She says " Never heard of that".
In 40 years of boating, I have never heard of nor seen this at any ramp in California, Arizona or Nevada.
Has anyone else ever heard of turning on your truck/trailer lights to let others know your picking up a boat?
Not a big deal, the guy was nice to her, just curious if this is normal at some ramps.......like ones I've never been too!
