Default wave jumping and blowout

BT46,

I'm asking about your set up to assist me in my rebuild,
are those 23's mirage plus ?
what kind of drives?
what are the engine center-lines?
what is the prop shaft height set at.

i have an 84 30 scarab
I'm sticking w/ my TRS drives
my engine center-lines are 34"
i read a thread on here that TRS liked to be between 4"-5"
prop height, on old straight V hull, but now i can't find the thread!
hopefully i'll be safe 4.5"

again, not here to tell you how to drive, or whatever the heck happened to this thread. just here to learn some so i get it pretty close the first time.

good luck getting the bullet dialed.

thanks

dan

here we go again.... griff thanks for all the help youve given me over the past year.. TEX.. hitting pot holes with your trailer does not constitute rough water.. i tried 3 blades on my pantera twin and i ran into the same problem as your having brett. i run B1 26's now and i have a set of 24 and 26 hydros to try out if i ever find the time. you can email me the pics of your bullet and i will throw them up for ya.

Yes on the props and brovos. My 40 fountain runs 3 blades but I only ran it once in 2 years do haven't tested props yet.

WTF are you talking about? Your three pantera's have seen nothing but pot holes since you've bought them.

Probably not a good idea to be jumping wakes in the first place. Good way to tear up a boat real fast.

Yeah Griff, your comments regarding my rough water seat time were real mature considering you've never met me or boated in my pond. You started it Griff, so its fair game.

Are you telling me if I told you my buddy has more rough water seat time than you do on the toilet you wouldn't consider it a personal insult? LOOK Griff its raining!!

Man, WTF is wrong with some people????

Does every phucking thread on OSO have to go to the chitter now? (Shaking my head)
Brett,
I have some experience with 31 Bullets

Mine came with a 27 Mirage Plus 3-blade on it and i switched it over to 26-pitch 4-blades. It picked up about 4-5 mph at cruise and didn't lose anything at full speed. So, most of the advice given is good that you've received. What I have never seen is a 31 Bullet that came with a high X on it. So, unless someone has raised the x-diminsion, a high x is not the source of your problem. My Bullet was the easiest boat to drive that I've ever been in. Get it on plane, trim it and go. No tabs needed unless there was a big wind going on.

I sure miss my Bullet!!!
