Very sad!!Mainships&Silvertons are top heavy in wind with no one aboard let alone 27 people again very sad RIP!!!Lake George had a over load accident a few years back?

The location where this happened ends up being a mad house when the show is over.
It's probably the worst time of the year to be out on the water.

We were out on the sound last night and heard the coast guard call.

RIP to the children that perished :(

Sad that innocents lose thier lives from bonehead actions of others..
People just dont use their brains much these days. Society seems to encourage stupid people.
Every weekend out here I see little 20ft open bow rental boats loaded with 10-12people
on them , they were told by rental company not to overload, they get stopped by cops and ticketed
yet they keep doing it over and over. Then when someone gets hurt or dies they sue everyone in sight.

I bet if the owner/operater was a respected member of OSO this thread would have a completly different tone......

I would hope a "respected" member of OSO [at least the ones I have met/spoke with] would have enough common sense not to put that many people, especially children in a dangerous situation on the water.

Agreed.

Some people are not as "perfect" as you I guess

Schweeng 07-05-2012 02:52 PM

OSO member or not...captain/boat owner should go to jail. Make me sick to think about those kids.
