haven't filled it up yet, but put in 2-300 every weekend and like many others do a lot of rafting up. used 70 gallons @ 3.70 a gallon on a 90 mile round trip this weekend. could be worse !

$0 - Almost finished building my own blower motor due to mechanic losing his nerve after disassembling my boat :(
Previously $200-$300/weekend (about 1/2 of 100 gal tank) on the Fox Chain @ $5/gal no ethenol 93 @ about 2 mpg so about 100 miles
Hopefully a lot starting Friday at 80 mph that only buys me 1.3 hr:eekdrop:

Idk on how much total I have put but for 20gallons at 3.42 its about 69 bucks but that will get me about 2 to 4 hours run time... she has a serious drinking habit. Or I would like to say a gas alcoholic. Soo usually for me its get to where I need to be shut it down till need to leave..

It's a lot, but I don't want to leave to much $$$ for the kids to fight over when my time here is over.

We had to fill up the yacht in Tampa at a city owned dock, diesel 4.22 plus tax.
$3,400.00 and the tank wasnt completely empty when I started pumping!

Wow, I feel a bit better about my $1100 fill ups now. Then again, I guess it depends on how often the fill up cycle comes along.

My boat runs on wishes, rainbows and unicorn farts! MAN! That crap is expensive!

I think I would shoot myself if I did the actual calculation.

I love you big cat guys boats but I cringe when I think of the sum of operating cost, maintenance, and insurance.
I've heard insurance is BIG.
This helps me come back to the real world when I get dusted by one and begin to dream of ownership.
I usually put in a half tank and it's around 400.
I've always asked myself "If these 525sc's suck this much fuel, I wonder how much those big HP powerplants consume"

Summer, thanks for the laugh
and Lastcall thanks for the thread.

See ya,

per mile I doubt a 850 or 1075 uses a heck of a lot more than you do... Now the big power guys all bets are off! You just don't usually run it that hard for long! At 100 I'm barely turning 4000 rpm's at close to 1 GPM and the new turbo motors do even better.

And for insurance vs value of the boat it really isn't that bad either as long as you aren't running 150! I'm paying about 50% more than the cost of my V Hull if you consider the value of the boat...

A friend of mine told me one day... "being cool ain't cheap!"
