Damn shame, that was a real pretty boat. Glad everyone is ok.

If I even run into the fella who risked his own safety and tore his chit up to prevent injury to a fellow boater dinner is on me (-:

DG is a good guy....I'm sure they will work out the damages to his ride without insurance

Glad to hear such a positive outcome........I took a soft jetski lanyard and affix it the the kill switch of all my boats. Easy to slip it over the wrist.

That's what I did too! Same thing happened to me a few years ago I was riding my stand up ski and watched a guy get ejected in a runabout and was circling him to and I jumped in his boat from my ski. So scary! I can't imagine doin that with a powerboat. Glad everyone is ok!

Sounds like a bad nitemare a boat like that going in circles!Guy is a hero who stopped it!

jeff32 08-19-2012 11:12 PM

Lanyards save lives folks.

And apparently so does a brave soul willing to tear up his own gear to save your life. I wonder what kind of insurance mess that will cause.

Seen it done once on a bass boat, they run up on the outside of the boat running in a circle and got rail to rail and the second guy in the boat hoped right over in the boat and cut the key off. The guy timed it perfect, made it look simple but it wasn't. He done a great job, sounds like this is the same kind of guy. Stepped up and took charge, very cool!!
