I am not even close to most of the players on here, but I also own my own business. THAT I BUILT!!! It also helps that my wife makes enough money to cover all of the household bills and keeps us in medical insurance. She builds Toyotas.

My job has very little to do with my boats. I find classic junk and make it into something. More sweat-equity then anything.

I didnt pay a fortune for my boat and shes old classic to me, but to keep gas in it and run it+ weekend overnighting expenses is what cost me the money, I overnight EVERY weekend from Friday-Sunday and it adds up....

I am a Cabling tech, I work for someone and love my job, Fiber optics/cameras/data and everything inbetween..

I also do lots of working on Mustangs as I have a Car addiction also... gave up 4 wheelin years ago as I didnt use my CJ enough to justify it anymore, down to 2 major hobbys... LOL

Im kicking around getting out of boating too!!

Wife is an MD.
Im a mid-level Exec at a big bank.
Early 30's - no kids yet
Still cant justify the expense, and I dont even have a big boat.

Surprising number of folks in Auto manufacturing participating in a hobby that takes a fair amount of expendable income. I think that says alot about the American manufacturing model...

As in - you dont see alot of chinese factory workers roaring down the in Mekong river in 25-50' powerboats.

BUY AMERICAN, DAMM!T - Our factory workers need new 525EFI's.

Put me down for a new Escalade EXT. I have 53K miles on mine but now that 2013 is the last year for it, I need to update. It's the perfect vehicle for me.

Back on track - I'm the Director of Operations for a company in the composites industry.
