There's a 40-foot Skater over here in my back yard that it would be interesting to see run out on the big lake...I refer here to the legendary Runnin' Hot...
Um? Can you get Yorkman out of the river :party-smiley-004: |

Panther, Thump has assured me he will go easy on WW in the horsepower department. (not that we need any kind of charity). But if it's glass flat, WW feels like it's running in wet cement and can't get any kind of top speed out of her.
Was running with LickitySplit at over a buck in 1' chop. He went by us without even breathing hard, probley 1/2 throttle. Just need a little wind north/northwest. It gets rough down at the end of the lake in a hurry, then we'll have a run for it. |

Mr. Adams, my money is on WW in 6ft.+ !!!
Where i boat we call these 4-6, can a 40 skater run in this? @2:25 http://youtu.be/h0JVwDtGYPg |
For a TRUE rough water challenge (and this is probably too difficult to do with schedules, travel, etc), it would be cool to run it like the Mavericks big wave surfing contest in Half Moon Bay, CA. They have a period of time the contest can occur, ie, big wave season, and there's a 24-hour notification. When Jeff Clark determines conditions are just right, he gives all participants notice and they have 24 hours to get to Mavericks for the contest.
Like I said, would be tough to do in this case, but how cool would that be? :) |

Do not think it would be a good idea for a production boat to go out in big seas and run hard.
We are talking 8-10 ft seas correct ? I will say we were running 90mph in 15ft seas in argentina, with 900hp per side, old school 40 skater. Will an apache even go that fast in smooth water ? |

Preview http://youtu.be/ttN2stWdoeg not sure how big, CJ or Parn would know. Maybe 3 to 5s with some big holes. This would be Big Steve and Valako in Blue Moon. (A couple of the old guys) They were still dialing in the SCXs. He had trouble keeping water pressure up.
