Yes, it is! I had 50k in damage from Isaac in August and just found out my insurance company isn't renewing my policy at the end of the year. So they are allowed by insurance commissioners and whoever else is involved to take your money than when something goes down and they have to pay out they are just allowed to not renew or just simply pull out of your area. Insurance is a joke. It's great till you need to use it than once you do anything goes on their end!
We just finished riding out Sandy here inn Dover DE. and luckly we had minimual damage and still have power. Trying to get back to work, on the base. Hope all is safe, and that life will get back to normal ASAP! |

So, I just heard my street had water up to the mailboxes. Where could the boat really go attached to the trailer? The trailer is so heavy.
|
i dont want to sound like debbydowner, but if the water gets high enough for the boat to float, the trailer will float with it,hopefully it being tied down will help.

When the river flooded in South Dakota several years back, there was a reason why so many flooded properties started on fire. Owners were insured against fire but not flooding.
In 2008 I had 5 feet of water on the main floor of two houses. It was dirty, nasty, river water. It came up so fact that almost nothing was removed, so it was awful. The one thing that I learned is that FEMA and insurance companies are all different. Don't take your buddies word for anything. Dive into it yourself and ask lots of questions. Everybodys situation is slightly different, so the solutions are all different. Don't fall prey to rumors. It took some time and alot of work, but we rebuilt them better than before. It really, really, really sucks, but try to keep your head up. I feel for everybody affected. |
Yeah, I don't think the trailer being attached to the boat is going to keep if from floating around at all.
