Don't care if its Defender, Checkmate, Pantera, etc. As boat fans, you have to be excited to see these old molds & designs coming back to life.

For sure Tristar, these older molds were built to last. The boats they produced and the people who designed them are part of our power boating history. Glad to see Bob Saccenti involved with the "Comeback" project.

Yea the traffic around here and going back through Indiana sucks. 65 drives me crazy during the holidays, if you went that way. Where are you out of?

Also, to the thread starter, hows the project coming along?

Thanks for asking Tristar. We're pretty much on hold until after the holidays. We have the stringers in, next will be the bulkheads. Deck & hull should be together soon.

Defender Powerboats consulted with Bob Saccenti for his recommendations on stringer material type, construction and placement. Once the stringers height and longitudinal dimensions were calculated they were trimmed to fit then glassed inside the new 21' Scout hull. Just about ready to pull the hull out of the mold !
