Sounds like Oregon is broke, using your money and sale from Nor Tech for it's own bills. It might cross the line from civil to criminal, and it wont get better as time goes on, maybe contact the authorities ....

I don't know his finances but it does eat me up. I will look into any possible criminal charges. Thanks

Chuck, you mentioned no lein on title did you give them the title? If you did give them title without lein then I am sure they processed the title reg etc to new owner and he has ownership. To make the mess worse chances are he has also borrowed money on boat. I would have someone run HIN and find out who owns now and this will probably answer lots of questions. Good luck!

i would go the old fashion route and go to ocm with a chain saw and start threatening to cut up some boats and $hit. that might get some ones attention

If the new owner borrowed money the lien should have shown up on a UCIC check. That's why I assume he paid cash or home equity etc.

How did you get the title to sell the boat if you still owed money on it? Was it a differant loan?
