I agree. It's easy to see in the slow motion videos that the boat dropped straight down with no forward momentum. That had to be harsh.

I hope he was a surfer with experience....because once you cant see the horizon for the first wave...you'd better be counting crests when you're peaking over the top.... to get an idea of what is coming....just for the concern of getting pounded by a mondo breaking wave (on your surfboard) ....now add a very expensive boat in the breaker zone.... adrenaline get's higher...

there's coulda been a clean up set of waves coming that would end the day... luckily not this time. but been there done that.

someone out west is gonna come across this boat, and post some pics. that massive slap more than likely did some damage! video needs to go back up too, even if for nothing more than a boaters advisory on what NOT to do!
