YES!!! You can't comment unless you have a boat.

Matt....I'm with you! Just wait till MyWay takes another dangerous run up north again and they kill themselves this time (or someone else).

During the weekend, I never ran in a boat that went over 100mph. They could have, but didn't.

And, the winner of the poker run was:

First Place: Julie & Wayne Casey from ONT 39' Cigarette V UNRULY CREW II with 2 Mercury Racing total hp: 1400hp
Second Place: Brian & Tammy Farley from NY 36' Cigarette V GLADIATOR 2 Mercury Racing total hp: 1050hp
Third Place: Matt Powers from KY 38' Nor-Tech V NOR-TECH with 2 Mercury Racing total hp: 1050hp

I sense a trend.

I love threads like this.

Hoping both of the boats in this discussion make it to the Shootout this year.

As I said earlier, it didn't feel like anyone was pushing it AT ALL. I never saw PP on Thursday, but some friendly competition between them would be something for pay-per-view.

The red/blk/white MTI had some wicked sounding engines.
Will try to get the video up later today.

I didn't look at every post in this thread but from what I can tell not one person who posted here was even on a boat during the run and really doesn't know ****.

I was there in my boat behind them all. I have driven both boats (DCB M41 and Bills 388) within the last 7 days and the truth can of course be found somewhere else. So keep running your keyboards and we will keep running our boats.

Long Break Out!
Seems kind of harsh for a couple of guys just joking around on the internet..

LOL

This is exactly why I don't want these guys teaching me how to drive MY cat. I know how to leave my ego at the door.

You obviously don't get it. This thread started by you intimated these guys were operating their boats in a competitive way.
The implication was then followed on by many that further implied there was competition on the poker run.

REALITY; Tony, Dave and the owners cruised comfortably all the way to destination and never encountered the Skater at all because it wasn't even on the run. Safe proper running was the goal of the day and that is what they did. They were not there to prove anything or compete with anyone.

Day two we returned to Gilbert's to run down with with smaller group. The DCB left way before the group. By the time they got to Islamorada the Skater caught up. Both operators knew there was nowhere else to run and they idled to the marina, it is a recreational boating event

To imply or suggest anything else especially given all the work we have done to promote safety in this segment is irresponsible especially given the attention FPC's new initiative has received to suggest there was any competition.

I will not respond on this forum anymore beyond this. You all know how to reach me.

Furthermore, I don't guess, speculate, or run with opinion. I evaluate, measure and demonstrate with real statistics and measurable performance. Just like I did throughout my entire Coast Guard Career. I don't have an ego about any of this, I have proven results and accomplishments that are recordable.

Brad, I'm not sure but I think I just read that as people can't joke around on the internet?

For someone who supposibly doesn't have an "EGO" you sure come across as someone flexing theirs "I have proven results and accomplishments". Lighten up Francis! Most of us including myself and RD were attempting to have a little light hearted fun until.........the politcally correct police showed up.
