It is on Jay's picture thread. Hell of a way to get those goldfish crackers out of the boat. :D :D

vindicator101 05-03-2013 07:47 PM

Figured it was but did a quick search and didn't find it.

DCB still makes the nicest interiors. Maybe they should look into waterproofing though. :eekdrop:

johnnyboatman 05-03-2013 10:19 PM

so ok, after this boat has been wet its going to be sent to DCB for a full rebuild, what happens next, list it forsale as a 1owner, or explain the carpet got alittle wet, or it flipped at 140plus and we changed everything on the boat. just wondering ive seen a lot of boats on here that get damaged that get described as (oh it only got the carpet wet) only to have pics show up where shes a submarine.

Scotchguard is a beautiful thing. Wipe that baby down and she's good to go.

I'd be more concerned with the damage you can't see. 140 flip and not pop chit loose? Yeah right...

im sure they will first deny, then admitt it was only fresh water use

Cat & Mice 05-04-2013 05:30 PM

I doubt the boat was going 140 mph. The helicopters where still there and they do t go that fast. The boat slowed down a lot in the air. By the time it hit the water and hooked I bet it slowed down to around 50mph.

They will have a hard time hiding this accident from a potential buyer and I really doubt the guys at DCB would lie about it.

More like 100-110 when he lost control.

pslonaker 05-06-2013 09:53 PM

bottom line is that Tony jumped the start. He had no choice in doing that or he would have been passed by skater40. Tony knew his boat was slower than gary and his only shot to get to the springs first was to jump the start.

finally someone tells it right. the 41 is not that fast when compared to like boats. it barely went any faster than collegewood in the sh00tout and the 41 is much lighter and was proped for the run. i think the two boats are about the same length, 41 minus their bussel is probably a 38 bottom too. had the 41 followed the instructions, held his line and didnt try to jump he could have saved one of his fellow dcb a butt load of $$ that day.:poopoo:

lotopa.com 05-07-2013 02:39 AM

well if the 41 jumped didn't the 35 go with him?

skaterjim 05-07-2013 05:55 AM

they way i see it the guy that fliped his boat was at fault he is responsible for his own actions and could have let off the gas and could have turned left. he did not have to go thru the 41"s roostertale.

Nice Pair 05-07-2013 08:49 AM

Since it was a poker run , NOT a race, I'd say there were at least 2) overly aggressive drivers jumping the start. ....... my .02

Hey Skater Jim- good to see someone has common sense... Been absent from this thread for obvious reasons lately. It's still funny to me that some think it's the other guys fault, and not the actual person DRIVING the boat that flipped!! People are so freakin ignorant it's funny!:lolhit:

DUH well yeah :-)

lotopa.com 05-07-2013 02:16 PM

so can we all agree that Jumping the start was not the cause of the Accident?...... SkaterJim and precision details and i share the same opinion, so if we start eliminating variables in the cause of the accident I think the only thing left standing will be " could the 35 have pulled back? and did he?" I believe the answers to these two questions are obvious but would love to understand a different point of view, however they just dont make sense......

Its like being on my street bike at 130 mph and blaming the car i rear ended..... that will never fly in court...

lotopa.com 05-07-2013 02:29 PM

the funniest part about all the speculation is, the inside blue boat (with a pro on the sticks) was taking a tighter line, and appeared to be accelerating equally if not harder, and he didn't have a problem................. oh wait maybe that's because he knew what he was doing, and what his boat could do..... nah..... that makes to much sense..

chad1 05-07-2013 07:39 PM

The move the 41 made is unacceptable and put many
Lives in danger.

Ya really!

Chad1- all I can say is that options are like u know what's... But that's not what makes up the official investigation, which I know what that is... But I don't need to give u guys that... U all are now too entertaining! All u guys should keep it going, maybe someone will post that Tony was possessed by the devil!! Lmao just funny

My statement is a fact. Jacksonville is coming
Up. Bring it up in the drivers meeting.

Ok dude, u keep thinking that whatever comes out of your mouth on something like this is a Fact... How much more can u and others really prove what ignorant idiots u really are?!! This is what I mean! Keep up the entertainment!!! :lolhit:... And Havasu is much different than Jax!!

Unfortunately for u- the people's views that really matter do not agree with you, so with that being said, please tell me why you are so right! Issues like this are not black and white. It's just that simple, and only takes common sense.

Chad at some point you are liable for your own boat and people aboard your boat. you need to be in control of your boat and be able to react to situations like this safely!

Common sense seems to be lacking during poker run races to the first card stop. But they're not races are they ?

Jim. You are correct! The question to some is what boat put the other in bad situation first.

They aren't SUPPOSE to be, but the mind set of some sure make it in to one! It is what it is, the sad part is that there were more boats in the 1st wave of the poker run then there were racing all together that same Weekend in Biloxi... Just a shame for the racing circuit.

Hustler40 05-08-2013 10:54 AM

I think it might be cool to see a sanctioning body like OSS or SBI add a poker run class. Then these boats could actually race on a closed course and not an open waterway. With boat counts as low as they are at races it might work.... Obviously everyone wants to race... Sorry I forgot its not a race, I meant collectively rally as quickly as possible to arrive first at a destination. Instead of a checkered flag they could hand out a playing card. Could be fun.

chad for someone who was not even in a boat at the ds or from the sounds of it never been in one at a pr you need to do everyone a favor and take (i want to be a racer) tony chiramonti with you and stand on the street corners greeting the participants at the ds poker run when the come into havasu and wear this. afterall it looks like in 14' neither of you will be in a boat for the ds poker run anyways. http://www.***************.com/attac...-2013-128-.jpg thats powerboat nation in the url
