Crash at DS.

Just saw on Facebook a DCB M35 might be on its top. Hope everyone is ok!

NASCAT 04-26-2013 01:36 PM

Confirmed via an e-mail from a buddy there.
Stated M35 blew over at start.
No other details though.

Fingers crossed all are ok.

WARPARTY36 04-26-2013 01:40 PM

Hope everyone is OK. The boat can be replaced.

Not a lot of info to report, but a DCB M35 Widebody did flip this morning at the Desert Storm Poker Run. Good news is both participants are OK...

Looking at the video it seems like they slowed down a lot in the air before they flipped and got thrown out. This video kind of sucks and I am already sick of hearing these girls say OMG LOL

Glad everyone is OK

OMG!.......

Like....

OMG!!

Glad to hear everyone "swam away". Keep it wet-side-down folks.

Sea-Dated 04-26-2013 03:03 PM

Glad all or OK

Nate5.0 04-26-2013 03:04 PM

Terrible news for the owners, the run, and the sport.

More importanly though I am glad everyone is ok and not badly harmed. Boats can be replaced.......lives can't.

littledcsrodshop 04-26-2013 03:07 PM

SO Glad to hear that they are all ok !!!!!! Got a sick feeling in my stomach as soon as I seen this, and glad it went away

oregondunes 04-26-2013 03:10 PM

I dont think the boat was sold. I think it was someone "borrowing" it for the poker run.

Borrowed boat?? OMG! I would hate to be that guy. "Umm, here's your boat back. Sorry I got it a little wet!"

I don't want to be an arm chair QB, But nobody has any bussiness in that kind of boat at those speeds without having been through Tres's school. But then maybe the driver had been, don't know, just sayin.

Just glad they're Ok.

I only say that cause Its still on OCM's site as for sale http://www.oregoncustommarine.com/pr...R0&veh=2965012

ItsPeanut 04-26-2013 03:38 PM

Im glad all are ok but how many boats went past without stopping? You seen a a few come back but how hard is it to throw your hand up to let everyone know to slow down. It would make me a little upset if I was the one to flip and then watch everyone blow past me if I was in survival mode. Not trying to piss anyone off but come on guys.

thirdchildhood 04-26-2013 03:38 PM

Seemed like a lot of helicopters.......

Looks/sounds like an offshore powerboat race. Lucky day for someone.

Yea, but none of the choppers came back to help. Im only speaking from the video i saw.

johnnyboatman 04-26-2013 03:53 PM

Man here we go again, no matter whos at the wheel, when traveling that speed u get a lot of air packing under the hull and hit a wake, its like a jet plane lift off. thank god everyone survived.

There are safety boats assigned to areas on both sides of the lake all the way from pilot rock to Havasu Springs. There were plenty of spectator boats and safety boats no need for more boats to stop and get in the way.

Ernest T Bass 04-26-2013 04:26 PM

That could have been a LOT worse! Glad they're OK.

I watched the video, and I saw boats coming back. It takes a while to get stopped running a buck 40, does it not?

precisiondetails 04-26-2013 05:38 PM

Can anyone post a Vid on here? I don't have Facebook!

Edit: Spectas beat me to it. Very poor quality and less than 25% of the first video. It doesn't show all the peeps coming back to help.

Australia 04-26-2013 06:05 PM

you would think at least one of the choppers would have stopped to assist and look for people in the water

rsess 04-26-2013 06:19 PM

Is that the second m35 to blow over. I remember the orange one went over 2 years back
