Check out the starboard drive in the very last shot. Might be a clue to what caused it to go over. Glad nobody was hurt.

Good to hear Gary.

I was there and saw a portion of the actual flip plus I was one of the first responders to go to the scene. The boat left mid afternoon from Kelley's island. It was a very nice day, variable winds and maybe a small insignificant chop on the water. He was doing somewhere between 40, maybe 45 mph into a slight turn when it looks as if the stern skipped and started to chine. The actual flip wasn't violent in nature. It just stated to go over and momentum brought her upside down. The captain was experienced, there was no alcohol or anything else involved. All passengers were in good health and we got to them within minutes of the accident. The only speculation we have is mechanical failure in the drives. More to follow I am sure.....

I am wondering about tie bar failure? I know stepped boats spin easy but not at 40-50 MPH, I will bet anything its a mechanical cause of some nature....

I wish I could see the salvage. As a lot of people here know, I am in litigation with tbus for sinking my 27cc. If these guys are good, I need an " expert" willing to testify on procedure....

I'm pretty sure you are wrong on spins at moderate speeds. Find that red 38 TS TG video from Bulgaria that tossed the occupants then crashed onto the jetty and you will see that they were going about that speed when it tossed them.

Glad no one was hurt, boats can be fixed.
