I am going to put my boat at the dock and take the pontoon ride out to the Celebrity Cruise ship to watch. It's what I would do even if I still owned a cruiser. I think it's about $30 and they have shuttle out every 15 minutes or so I think. I remember from last year that the beer is about 1/2 the price it is at Capt. Rons and there is A/C if you need a break from the sun.

I would also suggest that you plan on being at Dog Days Friday night for the annual party. Lots and lots of major hardware will be there. Also, Friday morning there is a poker run that will leave from Backwater Jacks at about 10 (I believe). Dog Days is a great place to view this from, and a place called Paradise is even better (but a LONG cab ride). In that past there has also been alot of other traffic heading up past the same places that are not with the actual Poker Run. It sounds like you will not be there on Wednesday, but the Street Party has really become a great event. Camden is a great place to stay, and there is alot going on there, but it really is a long ways from the rest of the events. If you found a condo closer to Dog Days, it might save you a bunch of cab money and hassle. It may be easier to cab it to Camden for Skaterfest, than to cab it from Camden everytime you want to see one of the other events. Of course all of this is just my opinion. Wherever you stay, you will have a great time and you will be hooked!

I think you have to balance if you want to spend your time closer to the poker run festivities, the shootout and weather you choose to mobilize yourself around the LOTO with a car or a boat,,,,,,,,,,
You will have a great time, but choose your location wisely,,,,,
Cheers

Sadly I wont be there Weds. The GF can't get out that early. We will have my truck there as we plan on driving up. Is there and airport near... I didn't even bother yet to look into a flight and grab a rental.
I think we are set at Camden as it's booked and she loves thr idea of the lake view suite. So I will have to secure a way to dog says.....if a taxi cost a bit so be it. You only live once and I want to have the best time possible this year.

YES
The closest commercial airport is Springfield ( SGF). This airport can be connected from Atlanta, Dallas, Memphis, Denver, Chicago and others,,,,,,,,,,
Otherwise look at St Louis ( ~3 hours) or Kansas City( ~3.5h)

I will look into it. Gas in my truck is a nightmare and the GF has a convert audi tt so while it's fun and great on gas, 16hrs of driving in it could get tight quick lol.
