In a race application sit down is the only way to go.

The old school cats that had individual driver pods apart from the other, were any of those stand up?

I would have to say that I prefer to stand while driving. I have more control of the boat and I'm wearing my sunglasses anyways. Plus with standing through the chop my legs are like shock absorbers in a way. Not having to worry so much about my back. It looks very stylish giving me that Sonny Crockett look while driving.

Would be quite the job, and awkward. The drivers seat would have to be on it's own tall pedestal. If you raised the whole floor the rear seat passengers would be out of the boat. I'm in the very early stages of making a 12 meter fountain as it down.

You might try International Performance in Sarasota. Doug Valentine had said that the team Donzi Factory 2 race boat was for sale but I never saw them actually list it.
