Hey Nort, Ill let you know how it goes on Monday when I get some video footage over the weekend
Im hoping to dump the boat in this weekend and watch all the east coast guys take off on the poker run in Philly on saturday
Ill have to get some webspace and post it up
will be a big download im sure but worth it I would think

Wont be stereo surround or anything but yeah you will hear it no doubt
We will see if I wiped out a cam or not
The general concensus is no I did not
I have a gut feeling I did though
we will see tonight and ill give a report tomorrow
Wish me some luck and to get rid if this bastard black cloud over my head

If you can...use the WMV format.......it's the best. Also,
if you need to post it, I can do that for you.

Jay, Unless I missed a thread does this mean that your boat has both engines running now? If so congratulations it sure was a project. Good luck.

I also have a similar camera (8mm analog). I use a Belkin adapter that uses RCA to USB. I am about to try recording with the WinXP Movie Maker software.

It is easy to convert from analog to digital with the right converter but the conversion for transfer to the web is not easy and the cheap boards don't do it. Mine cost $400.

at 400 you may as well save yourself a LOT of trouble and get a digital video recorder. There are a lot of other advatages to doing it the digital way

Audiofn-- I agree but the videos were analog not digital. They were taken a few years ago. I will get a digital camcorder but I will wait for the quality to go up and the prices to go down.

A few of the new cam's have analog inputs but they are a bit pricey.
