Now, that doesn't mean that I don't respect Reggie Fountain Sr. (and Jr.). IMO the original executioner changed performance boating. My first ride in an off-shore powerboat was in one and we topped 70 mph with a pair of 454s. My dream boat used to be a 42 Fountain. Not anymore. Too much wood.
Good choice, too much wood in that 42' Fountain, stick with that 22' Donzi................................

I have owned many AMF bikes. Easy to buy cheap with all the rumors about the poor quality, yet never had any issues...

As a racer I can tell you pound for pound with the same HP there is nothing that can come close to Fountain. Fountain dominated F1, F2, and the origanal SV 525 class so bad that if you didnt have a Fountain you just went away. I dont think there is a V bottom class that Fountain doesnt own the Kilo record, the F1 Kilo record that Little Reggie and I set back 10 yrs ago at 87.33 mph (29 Fountain) still stands and no one ever came close.

I have an 80 Low Rider with over 100,000 miles that I bought new. Only problem was a bad ring gear. Way better bike than the crap they build now.

I will! But... If I were wishing, Nor-Tech, Cigarette, Skater, MTI, Outerlimits, Sunsation, Donzi ZR all come to mind before Fountain. Fountain had their glory days. They did a lot for the industry but the name doesn't hold the same prestige that it once did.

It will take another 15 pages before most of the folks here understand half of your post. Keep up the great work at RF...
