It's one thing to read a condolence thread, but another thing of being able to google poker run accident and find the history and debates. Is it just me or wouldn't it be better to have this discussion and other past discussions moved to a more "private" area like the Bilge?

Just a thought?
They know.

Least on the small screen it looks like that cruiser nearly got T- boned and may have caused the accident. Again, others claim to have seen aerial photographs and say no spectator boats were to blame. That video seems to suggest otherwise.
I seems pretty obvious the green skater was in the lead, backed out and went through the roost of the other boat in order to miss the cruiser in the middle of the freakin lake!

Only if you don't blow something up, and if you do $100K becomes $200K instantly
A few considerations:

1. Early 1075s were finicky
2. 100k/10 runs = 10k each, not really crazy money if you are shipping the boat nationwide
3. They were his numbers, I will leave it up to him to chime in

Herein lies an issue. Yes the white boat crossed the path although it wasn't his fault. Mostly because the lead boat didn't have a problem and if he slowed rapidly to avoid the crossing vessel then the other boat was at fault for not being in position to slow his vessel. At 150+ mph a boat will approach way faster then some can react. I don't know the waters so can't comment on the curves.

Consider this, your driving along at 80 on the highway nice day windows down. All of a sudden a crotch rocket comes by at 140. Feels like your standing still and usually never even notice until he's up on you. Easily could change lanes and take a life. I have on numerous occasions checked made sure lanes were clear and started a turn or merge only to be surprised by a bike or car traveling at an extremely high rate of speed.

That's what it looked like on your Iphone, Imagine what it looked like thru the windshield of a skater at speed..........

Classic 42X rubbing glass with a cat! 2 very famous offshore guys behind the wheel of each boat. I was on that poker run but never saw the video!

The boat next to Phil near the end of the clip was a natorious crook from here in Michigan "Michael Vorce"
