I hope this doesn't happen! We just opened our new Burgerfi restaurant on Duval hoping to make it a racers-Poker runners hangout.

I bet the races go no where.

That's just John flying the I'm going to leave flag so he can get more concessions out of the town.

It's BS.

That hasnt worked well over the yrs, every yr the city wants to pay less. It will get to the point at sometime he wont be able to afford to put a race on in KW. You can afford to lose so much money putting on a race.

There is some history of conflict with this venue and SBI. As most of you will recall, SBI moved its worlds to New Orleans in 2001 when APBA Offshore took the Key West venue.

Completely neutral here, but a move would not be unprecedented—nor would a return to the venue after a change.

News stories evolve until they reach their conclusion. This is one to watch.

Matt,

The difference is people go to New Orleans or Key West to party. People go to Clearwater to retire and wait to die.

not sure why the three major players, (oss, sbi apba) cant get past their differences (ego's) and put on a great race. bring them all and it will help with the money and at the same time put on one of the greatest event's known to man with more boats than you can count. there isn't a better venue than key west, period!
