Anyone noticing anything odd about this picture.

Post the original in high resolution, the 3264 x 2448 or the 2592 it shows up, maybe ill stand corrected but it looks funky, especially the pixel mismatching.....which only comes from copy and pasting numbers, and the fact the original decimal point is greyed out and smudged...
Are you just bored?

I'm not bored, I have a large screen and noticed it, that's all. Now I'm going to take chit because he posted a picture that doesn't stir the koolaide?

I respect Reggie Sr and Jr, just pointing out the obvious...

If I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it, but it certainly does look funky...

And ya Im not afraid to say it- and I call total BS!!

The Stihl race boat a 388 Skater one of the if not the badest fastest boats on the planet would not do 200 with twin 1200s... What a joke

While this seems incredible, it is believable.
First and foremost you naysayers need to use the correct numbers to linch them with. Randy stated that they ran 6800 rpms, not 6500 like some are using. I put this into the bam calculator and it came out 4%, which is easily attainable at these speeds with good props. This is also the factory rpm limiter for race 1200's.
Secondly, these motors started out as merc 1200's, I highly doubt they still making a mere 1200hp. There are several updates available for these motors.
Lastly, Jeff told me yrs ago that he and mike ran the CRC boat up to 196 with Merc1200 race motors on havazoo
but ran out of realeste. And he felt 200 was very doable.
I really don't know anything about this setup. Just trying to correct a couple points and give a little historic comparison.

I used 6,500 (stock 1,200 rpm max) to show It is possible. I'm not sure what the slip is on a perfectly dialed in boat. The calculator shows the numbers are possible.

Well I sure hope the GPS number is true. I was really rooting for these guys.

Its easy to speculate and not believe. Like I said before we will see how it runs in KW

How much water did they have to run down to hit the numbers posted???

I knew of a race 24 Skater that could run impressive numbers with warmed 2.5/280's but to hit the high # - it was a pig to get on plane and alot of distance to get them on the limiters.....easy to run out of lake on smaller ponds but it did hit the magic #'s when conditions were right Change the props to the "everyday" cleavers and it popped on plane but gave up top end... but the owner could claim the high mph...

Personally I question the "Stock 1200's"... others have had their battles in recent years running BIG dollar MTI's and Skaters with larger Hp and were still 10-15 under the elusive 200 mark. If RF pulled the 199.4 as stated and implied - they do not need to build boats - they created their own market!

What was the prop testing budget on this boat - anyone Know???
