Would you get any sound of what you were filming like boat races or would you only hear the scream of the drone ??

They make some noise but for the most part are pretty quiet. The noise from the boat would definitely drown out the sound of the motors and blades spinning.

I would love to have a private ski lake like that by my house.

Here is one i did with my phantom of my house The copter is unreliable, and flew away on its own Google "Phantom Fly Aways") It is now on the bottom of Lake Michigan with its camera and upgrades. By By $2000)

I have now moved on to an aquacopter (Floats) and a bigger hexacopter to carry bigger cameras

I am currently building a very large copter to carry a DSLR and other big cameras such as the EPIC. It will also carry a FLIR and will be used in search and rescue missions

I am also in the prototype stage of building a bigger waterproof copter for safer flying over the water and the ability to recover most of your electronics and camera if it does go down

I am shooting a lot of video and photagrophy from the air. It is a cool way to shoot
