But, this thread is about BIG Lake Michigan water, so here's some more from 2006...

Somewhere in that splash is a 42 Fountain...
40' Baja...
Vic Spelburg trying to imitate Don A by hitting the heli...
35' Baja...
33 Eliminator...

Extra special honorable mention one this day had to go to our very own Brother Mike. Allegedly, he knocked himself unconscious, came to with his fiancé splashing water on his face, and STILL drove like this. He DID get the cover shot in Powerboat mag, though, so it was worth it! Lol. Not bad for a 525/Bravo boat!

I still shake my head when looking at the first pic! Looks Photoshopped! Must have been a HELL of a landing!

Great Pics Mike. 06 is when I put my Super Hawaii back on the trailer, 07 I broke a gimble and my drive fell off. I ran after lunch with you and blew out a disc in my back. Sure glad this hobby is fun. lol

Great pics Mike.. however I`m sorry those are some small waves, probably -1 to 1/2." Just ask anyone here they will confirm.
Also all them guys should really sign up for Tres Class, obviously they do not know how to use trim/tabs.

Thank you

I ran a CC up the beach between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami… I couldn't see over the waves when I was in the trough, and they looked to be as tall as the hard top…. Boat needs 10' bridge clearance… I ran the boat in the toughs, and eased over the tops into the next gut… Ran 40 or so in the troughs, 20 up and over.. If I thought I was Billy Boatracer that would have been my last ride….
I chuckle at how some come up with wave heights when they are talking about their run… (LOTO guys know what I'm talking about )

I'm both thinking 4's in the video IC… More like 2-3' at biggest… You could have dropped the bow in one of those and still been fine… Lake MI has some of the crappiest water I have ever run in, and that video looked like much nicer conditions than I ever remember seeing… The 38 Gun is a tough V to beat…and I tried…...

Good stories this winter boys….keep them coming.
i agree . its like 4 foot wind swell chop.not fun boating. these guys need to come out to the pacific where it is glassty smooth ( in the morning ) with swell. i surf so i have seen some big sh!t. one day in my 27 fountain.. 8- 10 to get out of the harbor. had to wait in between stes and hit it or not doable.. then once outside 40' apart and 10 feet or so high. never could tell where shore was unless you were on the top.. thats like 5 percent of the time seeing land.. thats 10 feet ( in a fountain 27) did you get a chance to see the video on the right? can't figure out what brand of boat it is but it sure aint no cig

This is a 15 foot high day. The one rouge wave he launches on is is 20 plus but the rest of them are about 10- 15.

The ocational 8 foot in the the video is probably true but not 15 . IMO
