If it was not for Baja power boating might not be what it is today. What your doing is comparing a striped down camaro to a loaded ZL1. Well Baja has built ZL1 models.

AT is no where near the league of boats you listed OR THEY WOULD HAVE SOLD MORE!

Outerlimits over Active Thunder all day. Coming from someone who can afford a new boat.

No offense but USED boat buyers can not fathom commenting on this thread because your not in the "mindset" of new boat buying. Dreaming about what you eventually want out of a used boat does not build an argument of what a new boat buyer looks for.

There's a reason OL sell more then AT. There's also a reason BAJA always outsold AT.

So, I guess Bayliner is a better quality boat, because they out sold all of the above....Outerlimits went after the Fountain market, Baja went after the Bayliner market that wanted to go fast. Active thunder stayed as a custom boat builder...Just like Cigarette and JR Custom Marine...

absolutely no offense to Apache, but I understood the early models had a porpoise problem until they got the X dimension correct.

It is my passion. Get it?

You go buy a boat company, spend several million dollars, and get back with me twenty years later. Oh yeah, and remain in the black.

I guess you have not read all my polite and complimenting post to you and your brand? No reason to get upset. But that does not change the truth or the facts. Sorry I don't sugar coat things.

Glad that its your passion but that does not mean AT is the "best ....." "best......." or the "best.....". They are nice boats but not above all the rest. If they were so amazing you would either expand the company (already touched on that earlier and complimented you and stuck up for you for staying small) or you would have a waiting list.

Nothing to get mad about bud. Its not easy going up against Outerlimits, the leader in the industry. Be proud of what you have accomplished as a PASSION, not a business. There is nothing wrong with that. There is something wrong with yourself and other KOOLAID drinkers to act like its AT of nothing else. Obviously that is not the case. Someone can be proud of what they produce or prefer and respect what others do also, without bashing others.

I started my first business alone at age 20 and haven't looked back. Maybe next I will own a boat company............

Owned one, driven several, seen a bunch destroyed in a hurricane. I have never ever saw a boat built with OSB or partical board until I had to replace my sunpad or looked at several destroyed Bajas after a hurricane. Made me sick to see partical board used in cabin and cockpit materials. True story.

You trust your lives that these boats can withstand what we use them for.

Hmm I`ll take that with a grain of salt coming from a Koolaid drinker but i will say my experience was different. I installed an AC system in my 2000 33 Outlaw and having to hole saw many parts of the boat found none of the things you describe, quite the opposite. I went in thinking lets see this crappy Baja construction and came out with a couple wore out hole saws and a new respect.

The 41' has what they call the "Apache lope". I've seen a few run straight as an arrow while others loped a bit at cruise.
