Ok . The extra tall wax ring he sold me is for a 20* bottom. Can I shim this somehow? Plumbing in the house is froze, so I'm really hoping to get this set up.

I would skip the wax ring and use 3M 5200 for below the waterline install.

2 pieces of bungee cord with hooks to clip on rear tow eyes, D handles on other end. Clip em on, grab handles, feet on edge of platform and lean back. The bungee is for a little bounce to dip in ala modified bidet treatment when done. Can sell you the plans and material list for way less than above options

For the ultimate clean (and test of manhood) use while on plane. Not recommended for those with Arneson drives

Apache guys can do it while running triple digits in 8' waves........

I would like to make the base of my bolster seats into a holding tank. This way I can take a dump while throttling thru 12 ft waves .

Genius idea.

Now when you say 12' waves, is that gopro Height? OSO height? Apache? Or actual?

You know what the best part of this thread is?

When you Google "Thetford vs. Dometic" it's already on the front page.

This thread has been voted "most likely to result in some poor new boat owner sinking this spring".

Someplace, somewhere, somebody is gonna try a wax ring/American Standard through-hull install...

And the worst part is, this board is full of knowledgable performance boaters i.e: cams, drives, hull designs, prop selections, etc....., yet can't agree how to measure wave height.
