If that is the scoop, it's sad. I agree with precision details
-Publically come out and say you are faster
-Show up to race and lay down a number faster than Fountain, that only you have seen
-Break down and forced to go home
-Let Fountain hold the record, bragging rights for 10 years even though you know your boat runs faster
-Let Fountain make an embarrassing video about you and your ride, just ignore it for 10 years even though your boat is faster it will add to the drama
I love Whipple chargers, and the programing work you do Dustin. But that might be the most biased story I have ever read. But do understand loyalty, and I am sure there are a lot of details that were left out. You have to admit, if this happens, it should be a great race no matter who wins.
Maybe Cig and JT should enter again as well?

Do you even know what your talking about? That ghost we are rooting for is a little boat you may have heard of Twisted Metal a Fountain with a Real Fast Marine bottom. If Ol doesnt care about this record why did they release it to the press there going to make a run at it? Crusty Fountains.... Man it must suck when a decade old technology kicks your ass every time your on the water.
In the same post you're calling the TM Fountain "decade old technology" while also saying it has "Real Fast Marine bottom". Lat I check RF Marine did NOT exist or build boats ten years ago.
So, which is it? Is it old tech or a new bottom? If it's both then I think OL was building this model ten years ago too, but it was probably called something else and had a different bottom.
Like I said. I was a participant racing at The Fountain Factory in 2004. The KILO run was sick, and way cool. But, it's a decade later and maybe we should look at this the way we look at the rebounds in other industries. If someone is willing to spend the cash now then maybe there is hope for the industry as a whole?

You guys are all bench racers and dreamers, you are rooting on a ghost there is no more fountain as you knew it. Wake up that's the reason why there is still an OL .they have a lot of new things on the table, with the record or not OL's existence does not revolve around this record or any other for that matter.

I wasn't aware of what failed but my point is if the boat is so far superior why does it need so much hp to race in a class that is limited to 117 mph. You have to Finish to win. And I was aware that Instigator didn't win ,but they did make the podium ... Again! I do appreciate your input try not to take this stuff so personal.

I think it would be awesome if RFM also brought a boat to the KILO. Really promote the sh!it out of it and make it an event to remember. You know Reggie is considering upping the record himself anyway. We could all go witness the race and the two could shake hands at the end and go inside for a drink......Sounds like fun to me.

I like this one... Twisted Metal is one of the 40' Fountain race series like Instigator, Global Warmer, etc, these boats are much faster than the Fountain record boat.. Twisted Metal with their Mercury Racing 850s runs close to 150mph.. That would be the perfect boat for the Fountain camp to counter..
Tell ya what though, these speeds in a V make me nervous. Be safe guys, whoevers after this record.
