There were certain people on here several months ago bashing OL for not making an attempt to beat the record. Now those same people are bashing OL because it has taken them 10 years to come out and do it. There is not another builder that can match what OL is currently doing with their V bottoms. Those speeds in V bottom are insane.

Good for OL, and I personally wish them all the luck and safety in their pursuit. This is the type of accomplishment that appeals to their clientele.
It would be great to see Statement or Skater go for it as well with their V-bottoms someday when the market bears. Notice, several of the players in the Fountain pursuit and success are a part of this team as well.
When they hit the mark; and if I were in their marketing CoC...
...I'd change the oval logo to say "World's Fastest" instead of or including World Champion.

Last time I was at the factory, they were out straight,no not working on joes boat, I don't think doc has been around for a very long time, ol builds the best high performance boats on the market in my and many other people's opinion. Jamie you should stop by the factory and see how busy they actually are.

Cast in point: 29' Fountain and 27' Fountain, identical in every way except hull length, the 29 is faster by a few ticks.
Also, I very well could be wrong, but I thought someone said the same for 35' and 38' Top Guns once too. Again, do not quote me on that.

Ok Jamie my wife just straightened me out ,I miss read your quote! The factory is very busy, and mike and joe and doc are teaming up according to speed on the water. Remember this is not a "one off boat" but rather a boat anyone with the money can buy from outerlimits.

3 pages and not one mention of Cheating? You know if Doc, and Brian are involved their has to be some cheating going on. Just look at every event they have ever dominated.......they cheated, or so say their competitors.
The record is Reggies for now, Mike and Co. may break it, that's what its all about. Pushing the bar higher. I hope its a sanctioned event, and not just a picture of a GPS screen.
What ever the outcome is, I hope everyone returns safely. Good Luck.
