What's the point of these records without any meaningful limitations (length, power, design etc.)? If we're trying to prove superior hull technology then all other factors should be nullified.

Uh, thats 300 hp. But no one dynoed the fountain after the run and chances are, like they said in this thread, they probably cheated and added a lot more hp.

Ok, I'll admit to just getting done with a loooooooooong work related trip. So, I am a bit grumpy. With that said are some of you guys serious? I can't believe the route many of these post take. It's 10 years later, the boat is longer, it's shorter, it isn't all white, there's new technology. So what. WTF! Now talk of cheating. How can there be cheating in an event with no rules? It's simple there is a 10 year old V bottom kilo speed record. "Run what you brung". Outerlimits has decided it's time to challenge the record. End of story.
