I wish I knew the answer for you, LOL!!!
They're both awesome boats for sure.
I'd guess the OL to have a little more top end speed as they've got great high v-hull speeds.
I'd bet they'd run circles around me with less power.
If your looking to move up it'll be a huge step up from our rides. Those are wish list boats for a guy like me.
I'm curious, what do you see for top speed with your 502's and how are they on gph at your cruising speeds?

See ya,
Kelly

I guess I'm lost on your reply.

It looked to me like he was asking for input on their high 30 footers as if he was looking to upgrade to a more upscale boat since he's already a 38' owner of a less appreciated manufacturer.
I wish I could have told him how much I liked my old Hustler, how much better I love my new OL, and offered some good insight as to why such as top speed and handling manners etc...
If thats the case I wish I was wearing his boots, LOL!!!
It sure didn't look like an attempt to start a bashfest.
This is, without a doubt, the best place to ask this question as I'd bet there are a couple of members who have owned both and have real world input.

See ya,
Kelly

He wasn't starting a bash feast. But it won't take long for it to turn into one.

37 OL has huge cabin compared to the Hustler. As you may or may not know these boats have similar heritage (Fiore).

They will both perform well for their size, faster than most with equal power. The OL has more free board, and cabin. The Hustler is sleeker, lighter, but the cabin suffers. The V berth in the Hustler is almost unusable. The OL may have a rough water advantage, it is slighter heavier than the 388.

Both use high quality materials, and fit and finish is above average. The wiring on the Hustler 388 is amazing IMO. The Hustler also has concealed wiring and cables in the bilge (center tubes) Not sure if the OL does the same.

The Hustler tows like 2 jet skis, very light. I have never towed an OL.

Both are good choices.
