My (my fam's) first boat was a 1987 Slickcraft 237. That baby was put through hell on lake Michigan, tough as nails. The fastest I ever saw was 63, which I guess is pretty good for that style boat. Sold it to a friend and now it just sits in Hanky Pank on the weekends in Grand Haven.

A 12 foot aluminium boat with a 6 hourse motor. The boat was an Aldo Craft made in Smackwater AK...no lie, it was always a joke to us. The motor was a 6 hp Evinrude, I could pull my brother and sister on a wooden sled we made with curved plywood. It fit 3-4 people and really whipped on the corners. The 6 hp could pull 1 or a 2 ski person while we were young then at 16 I could drive the Slickcraft, it was a 165, had the 350/Alfa and was pretty fast and pulled skiers great. From there is has been a dozen boats from the Zodiac to an Active Thunder 32. I will always have a dog and a boat.

First was a little plastic 2 man fishing boat with only a trolling motor, I was about 10-11. The my first real boat I was 23 and it was a little 17 ft IMP Apache. Had a 3.8 v-6 w/ OMC drive. Now I have a 1989 Century Ultra II with twin 454's and bravo 1 drives. I do fiberglass and gel coat repair for a marina.

First one I owned not a family boat was a '86 Formula 272 ls with small blocks and alpha drives. Still think I should own another one with big blocks and bravos.
