How is that the short end?? I would think Frank received a good amount of money, no? When somebody is bought out, it is their choice to sell the company or was this not the situation?

Not my place to elaborate and not claiming to know details but the truth always comes out. I truely wish Phil the best. Don't be surprised though if you don't see Illmore's or Scorpions name on the valve covers of many of the Supercats. Kinda Ironic how the same thing happened to Sterling in the past years. Hmmmm , I wonder how Scorpion took over a huge chunk of their business?

Not to mention they power some of the fastest pleasure boats on the great lakes and all over the U.S.

Frank McCommas has all the respect in the world from me. Does anyone find it strange that Illmore decided to buy Scorpion over all the other "well known" engine builders? I would like to think Frank had a tremendous amount to due with that. To bad he helped build a company up to what it is only to get the short end of the stick.
+1

Here's a 2khp viper from like 6 years ago. Why don't they do a little R&D to build some forced induction V10s for the unlimited class? I know its not a boat but 1000hp vipers have been done quite a few times.

I have no facts, but based on some comments in sounds like this was more of a hostile takeover and less of a sale.

How can a company take over another privately owned company with no consent??!! If somebody wanted to buy our family business and we didn't want to sell, you just don't sell. Isn't it simple?

Unless theres a business owned by two people of which one is a majority. I didnt see franks name mentioned in the article, so perhaps he was the minority owner and therefore forced to sell.
