The elitist attitude needs to go. I've ran offshore on a 19ft boat.
For the most part a lot of good people and info. However there are some who think what they have is the bestest ever and anything else is a piece of crap. Ignore those.

I certainly hope you are not implying that "these guys" who can "walk the talk" are given the latitude to belittle someones elses boat based on their financial well being. We all work hard for what we can afford. I have been to the Shootout many times and will be attending Desert Storm for the 6th time in two weeks. You meet all kinds of characters. Some nice, and some with major egos. You can pick the douchebags out pretty quickly. I just choose to stay clear of them.

Which whatever the choice there is no right or wrong answer, the only thing wrong is looking down upon others, to those that do that lets open up your skeleton closet sometime.
But my point was a lot of these guys like to act like big and bad high rollers which in reality very few are and are those are the exception. The rest as I already said their soul is sold to keep that boat or have more credit lines than one can dream of to make it happen.

You will like the boat. I had a 2002 230CCR and we loved the boat. You cannot beat the cockpit space in those boats as they seem much larger then what they are. I ran that boat across the Chesapeake Bay many of times and always felt safe in it even in the ruff stuff. Good luck and congrats on the boat!!

That 22.5' Crownline can hull more people than most 42' Offshore boats = bigger party on the water.

As I've gotten older, I've gotten wiser. When I invest money in a leisure activity, I now I look at fun per dollar, which the smaller, less expensive boats go off the charts on, and the biggest, most expensive ones barely move the needle. It's the law of diminishing returns.
I wasn't that aware of Crownline before this thread. That's a great looking boat!
