I'm sorry but thats what the offshore hobby has turned into these days. I have a few bucks, I really dont know anything, but I wanna go fast.
These days? I remember the early 2000's when any unitard that made out good day trading a tech stock would walk into a dealership and leave as Reggie Jr. the 3rd with a brand new 38 twin step staggered boat. I remember one sold out of the local Fountain dealer by the name of "Brew Crew" that had 8 hours on it when he spun the boat and spit one of the 500EFI's right out of the side of the hull. When my brother in law (not the brightest bulb) traded his single engine 29 on a 35 Executioner in 04 they spent a whopping 10 minutes educating him about the boat he just bought and sent him right out onto the lake. Back in those days you would hear about a spin or stuff at least a few times a summer. I would submit if anything it is better these days, at least from my perspective.

I will be emailing fountain this evening with all the pics of the boat exterior and Interior and cabin so they can look at it. Also I am going to measure the boat length myself and see what I get. I need to know the proper way to measure it to make sure though.

Dude?

Why do you need to measure the boat, it has been said 20 times in this thread the 33 and 35 are the same boat, THE SAME. The 33 was the measurement before fountain counted the swim platform, the 35 was after they counted that in the NAME. The LOA on both boats is 35 ft.

I can understand how this site can be frustrated to the newbie, however it is equally as frustrating for people that have been in the sport their whole life to have a conflict with someone that was feed chit and believes it. We are trying to help, but understand our frustration as well.

When it is all said and done, you will look back at this someday and give advice to another newbie that is just as blind as you are right now.

Do you mind sharing with us what you paid for the boat? Is the previous owner on the internet?

The reason I asked, was for the previous owner to come on here and explain.

If this is fantasy island huh? You're right, we should have just helped him get his one off 1999 35 fountain up to 100 and left it at that, fed him more of the tripe that the last guy did.

You sir are an idiot

What gets me is that A) you have no clue what you bought/have owned for the last two years, but B) that no one in the last two years has asked "what year is your boat" and went whoa!!!! when you told them a 1999. I get asked about 5 times a weekend what year my Fountain is. It would take most of us less than 10 seconds to know that boat is nowhere near a 1999. You still haven't told us what the title or registration says. I smell something like bulll****t.

No bull**** here. The boat has been in our driveway for 2 years. It's just now that we got the boat running to take it out and now I found out about this situation with all your help. I also said in a earlier post that the title has the same hin# listed. Again no bs here! You also have to understand that the lake we go to we phage one of the larger boats there and nobody is up on all the model years of a fountain unless its a bass boat.

Maybe if you knew anything about boats you would understand my post? I just read some of your contributions to the site, nice condescending cynical posts you have there "daddy".
