Same here.... it sucks! There is something in the semi's that rattles its cage too - not sure if its a jammer or other communication device.

If you own a Valentine One, go to their website and look up your serial number for updates. I pushed a few buttons on my newer Valentine and it's incredible now. It doesn't react to other cars radar or the radars built into highway signs. I have a new Escalade and the truck was driving the Valentine crazy before the update. I have to send my older Valentine back to get the $150 update.

I have run Escorts for the past 32 years with much success. That said I got popped at 530 am doing 79mph in a 60 mph. I never go over 75mph except on I-95.He got me instant on as I crested hill. He knocked it down to 2 points and $81.00. Can't remember my last ticket. The odds are in our favor, if your not crazy on the road, but every dog has his day. And I live in South Carolina the worst drivers in the nation no joking. 50 bucks to update my Escort

I95 in South Florida has two extremes.......nonsense and errors. They love 7-9 am/ 4-6 pm HOV tickets (multi person carpool lane violations) and I have even seen them in high traffic (meaning crawling at 5 mph) turn it into an opportunity to check seatbelts and ticket accordingly! You really have to stand out (meaning triple digit speeds) to get pulled over for that unless they are doing a wolf pack enforcement (shooting radar from a bridge, calling speeding cars out to other troopers sitting on the side of the road 1/4 mile ahead).

That being said, last real ticket.....120-125 running with a 930 Turbo late at night......cop chased us for 5 exits, I pulled over and the 930 buried the pedal and left. He looked at my paperwork, told me to slow it down and "thank you for pulling over!".....no ticket.

2nd one I did get: 113 in a 55 mph construction zone (double points). I was moving that day, drove through this speed trap 6X in one day. On the last trip, I drive through at 55 and get pulled over a mile later with claims of 113. Got the ticket at $500+ and went to court. Showed judge gas receipt, I got gas 16 miles earlier and it was 16 minutes earilier on the receipt (indicating 60 mph). She knew the area, knew the station and withheld points, no driving school and cut court costs in 1/2.....$250 for a time I wasn't actually speeding!

Roger that on the I-95. I run the turnpike a lot and have a Bel RE 65 with a Laser Jammer module. It has saved my ass dozens of times and I've had it 5 years. The tough ones to out wit are the "Wolf Pack" traps that are set up with a State Trooper in a Cessna 182 top wing aircraft timing traffic below with a stop watch vs. painted horizontal stripes on the road. There will be a pack of pursuit cars on the road side over a hill or ridge waiting for radio calls from the plane as to which cars to pull over. The tip off to this is a short bark of K or Ka from one of the patrol cars in the pack that has accidentally left his gun on and you catch it from a mile away over the hill...but see nothing. Many times this has happened and I will open my inside sunroof cover and look in the sky over head for a low flying plane. It's surprising how well your skills develop once you're aware of the methods that are used.

The Laser Jamming module has kept me out of jail several times. I was on a 3700 mile road trip over the holidays between here and Dallas and coming East from Dallas on I-20 I was making good time in my S500 'benz pacing as lead with a 750I 'bimmer about a mile behind. We were both holding between 110 & 120 for about an hour when I crested a hill and got hit with laser. The Beltronics immediately jammed the Troopers Laser Shooter and by the time I went by I had braked to about 75. As I looked over passing his stakeout he was still re booting the gun putting the "stink eye" on me. He got it back up just in time to tag the 750..."Blue Light Special" for the BMW driver.

Stay safe out there.
