Thats a DONZI advertisement , based on RACEBOATS. As i said the Donzi is a nice boat and it is fast with moderate power. but the production boats cannot withstand the rough ocean enviroment. And are not held in the same reguard as the other 3 boats by racers or serious poker runners. Of course a Donzi cheerleader will disagree, thats why i said " thats my opinion". But my opinion comes from 20+ years of seat time in MANY world champion race boats, CURRENT kilo record holder boat, and some of the baddest pleasure boats around. Like I said just my opinion . But here is a FACT my Fountain has never or WILL never be beat by any Donzi

They are old tech now compared to the new OL's but I've yet to hear a single person who's ridden in both claim that a Glad is equal yet alone superior.

Just asking - I am NOT knocking Fountain Boats but of course some love them some do not. I have never owned a Fountain but have worked on and crawled all over them from 29 ft thru the 38 ft thru out the 90's and 2000's. Never been in anything bigger than 30's footers for Fountain brands. So how would you rate the quality of a Fountain ? And compared to other big name and not so big name boat brands. Also would like to hear how Billy Boats rates the quality of them from construction to rigging to wiring to fit and finish to overall installation of all components. Yes they are fast and can run great on the waterways. I already know that as most do as well.
A pure race boat app from whomever boat manu does not have the quality nor any comfort or usable anything that a poker runner buyer or a sportboat buyer is looking for to tool around the lake or ocean and to use for a handful of poker runs.
Especially if the family is going to be included some where in the mix of boating.

BUP, he is my opinion .....
I'm not satisfied with the fit, finish, or details of my boat, but as I said a 42 PR is basically a buffed up race boat. Now if you have ever seen most (not all) race boats up close you can see that fit and finish are not as important as performance . The structure and lay up quality of my boat is great. The boat is a 2005 , there is no stress cracks, no delamination , floor, stringers, tramsom, deck to hull joint..... Are all tight and incredabley strong . My boat was not rigged on the production line at fountain , it was done in the race shop. The rigging is still in perfect condition and the quaility work still shows well. Don't mistake what I'm saying , it's far from the quality of modern OL, Statement, MTI, Mystic.
I have several friends with production Fountains that are much different than my boat.
I think they do everything well , they are built strong and moderately light for a boat that still uses old glass technology( no carbon, wood tramsom...). The bottom of the fountain is undeniably fast and handles well. Reggie put a lifetime of R&D and a bank load of money into it and the end result shows. I think the interior and dash on the fountain has not evolved with the trends , a 2009 fountain still looks like a 1999 fountain . It's built ok and gets the job done but it's fit and finish aren't the best.

Billy - Not sure where you are getting your information from. I have many hours in all types of sit down V bottom boats and everything I said is my opinion but based on experience in all the boats I discussed.
The Donzi ZRC (Zr Competition) models were all hand built in a different building from the rest of the Donzi line. They are completely different from the other models even the 38Zr stand up boat is different.
As for Donzi propaganda, these are the facts - From 2002-2013:
Six APBA National Championships - Three APBA/UIM World Championships - Three P1 Powerboat / UIM World Championships.
By the way, I own an 86 Monte Carlo SS.... Got that running 11 second 1/4 mile times too! LOL

11 years old, plenty of ocean running, and not a stress crack to be found on my ZRC
And those guys in Europe know what to run in the rough
