Like Sydwayz, I too stored a boat in one. I've built a "real" garage but still store a toyhauler in that 10 year old "tent". The main cover has a few small leaks now but was water tight for at least 4-5 years. The end zippers wore out and I had to replace both front, and back, after about 5 years.......the replacements are now 5 years old and are messed up again but for just a toyhauler I simply don't care. This was with ALOT of zip/unzip/zip/unzips.
One thing left out. These things pull moisture out of the ground in the summer like crazy. It would literally rain inside mine. I ended up putting a plastic layer down and then a thin layer of "stone dust" and it made a huge difference.

My shelter did not have this problem, but it was on a thick gravel base that was well packed and established for quite a few years.
HOWEVER, my pole barn DID have this issue when I first built it. For the first couple years, I had a brand new gravel floor, built over fill material in a wet area. (I now have concrete.)
Buy some 10 mil plastic sheeting from your local building supply, and make a floor out of this on top of your soil or gravel. This will keep the moisture at bay as Russ suggested.

Moved into the shops of a relocated Ford dealership.
Isn't the prettiest, but fully functional, 85'x40' with five overhead doors.

Bad Influence- I bought my 12 X 40' shelter from portablegaragedepot.com around Feb of 2008. It has developed some minor cracks as of this year. I bought the "heavy duty" fabric (I think it is 11mm?, just one step up from the standard thickness). I live in Phoenix... say sun and I've gotten 7 years out of it. I'd say that is a good value. If I remember, in 2008 outdoor storage with just a roof overhead was $230 per month. The math was right for me. They claim shelter has a 10 year warranty which I haven't addressed yet. We are replacing the fabric this winter. Also used redheads and bolted it to a concrete pad in my RV gate area. +1 on zipper lube.

We had a neighbor with a late 70's or early 80's GM stepside pickup. Primer gray, lowered and rusty chrome wagon wheels. It drove my wife insane, occasionally he would drape a tarp over it. It was not on our street but worse it was at the intersection at the end of the street. Truck never moved or got worked on but never got to the "flat tire" stage either. We sold the house, moved to a brand new neighborhood with an HOA (decent one, even had a boat/RV storage area!). She drove by the old house 6 months later......she couldn't believe it, the old primer truck was GONE! If she tells a story about that old house, that Chevy usually gets mentioned too!

we have old farts like that in our house in granite hills area of el cajon..
want to build a back garage 30x24 city says have to put sprinklers in..wtf don't even have them on house..
