Speedo in your pic shows over 100....is that what your excalubur does?
|
in 1'+ chop it will go past 100 easily,,
with 275+ hp x3 and stopping motors at 8,000 with 30p cleavers @ 5-7% slip i rarely take it past 7,000 the last strake is all the boat is riding on and it is 3" up from the bottom of vee so theres no boat on the water and tail gets slippery again hull is made for wave crushin not high speeds but ive done lots of set up work to make it track straight and have good attitude in the ruff but when conditions are right ill push it past 7,000 lol as stated my fun is the excelleration it has and cruising 4,500-5,000 through the slop and lots of throttle to play with for a 27 o/b boat it is fun and quick but definitely not a under 30 cat killer and definitely not the fastest under 30 vee |

tks but boat is not hard to drive
trim for all 3 is on the throttles ,and fine tuning each is on dash in front of throttles this boat u don't trim motors hardly any as they run pretty much level to hull under speed and when take off can leave trim alone and pull down planes and move planes to water and speed conditions and bow does not come up ,,,with all the props it just goes forward,,,0- 85 is amazing,,,, also with the surface gearcases and cleaver props lifting transom I use the gearcases to help track by height and modifying the skegs longer and wider than stock this gives the surface set up more in the water to track,,,and transom not lift as much with gearcases above the transom I have built many race boats in the past today I like challenges of doing the unique and dialing in till get it this 1 is pretty much done after 1 1/2 yrs of lots of changes to find the happy combinations hit all my goals on it,,,looks, ride ,speed ready to start another 1 I really like gone again popping 180s in a 32 so thinking of a 30 what I can get it to do,,,,,,,,,,,,,, |
