I'm headed to NT in 2 wks during the middle of the rigging process. The riggers were very appreciative of my visit during the 1st build. They said it goes a long way with them when a new owner makes the trip to the factory and spends time with them to answer any questions they may have. Keep in mind NT builds a semi-custom boat so when I make requests of them that differ from their typical 340 CC build its in my best interest to work closely with those assigned to my boats rigging.

The "How to Build a Boat Guide" is now known as the "Boat Building Bible" as it pertains to my build anyway.

As for the 3rd build, hmm it's simply too soon to say. Check back after I receive this one and get a bit of seat time with it.

Yes, I saw it while launching in Falmouth going over to Martha's Vineyard. It looks like it's being taken care of well.

Oh no doubt, anyone who buys anything from me must sign an agreement to care for it just like I did.

Can't say I've ever seen your 390 in person but remember referencing this pic when discussing trailers.
Nice boat, what year is it?

Nice boat, what year is it?

Early 2012 was built for Zack Taylor from Michigan

Top Ven 07-17-2016 08:41 PM

Yes 2012 With 300 s !! Boat was perfect 60 hrs on her, and bought in Oct, it's in NJ now
Love the boat, we have had it out fishing a few times

wananewboat 07-24-2016 06:49 PM

Nascat, will your boat fit in a 40' bay on the trailer?

NASCAT 07-24-2016 08:09 PM

Yes it will. Previous NT 340 on the Evolution trailer measured close to 39' OAL w/ engines trimmed up for trailering. Evolution has made a few improvements to their trailers one of which is slightly shortening the pkg. expecting new boat and trailer to measure 37' 6". I'm trying to fit my truck and trailer hitched into a 60' deep bldg and I think I'm inside 12" of room to spare.

Keep in mind your choice of trailer may affect your actual OAL.

wananewboat 07-24-2016 08:49 PM

Thanks

Headed to Nor-Tech tomorrow to check on the boat progress, then a trip to Evolution Trailers. I believe it's about complete.
In the meantime working hard to get their new home up fit and presentable.

My hull is 34-98 ordered in May and I want to believe I saw 34-107 in lamination today. I also noticed the recently introduced 45 CC (Miami Boat Show) had at least 4 orders in the pipeline. Hull 45-05 pictured below. Also saw a 56' CC in production. 56 CC's are powered by inboard diesels.

A 340 receiving finishing touches before heading to its new home.

My trailer would have actually been done by now had we been able to source the tool box we were in search of. Most under body tool boxes are 18" tall and deep and we were looking for a box only 12" deep. Surfing previous OSO threads ultimately got us pointed in the right direction (thx Strip Poker 388)

Ordered this trailer w/ 2 spare wheel / tire mounts and a power tongue jack.

Learned from my previous experience NO Goodyear Marathon tires, opted for the Goodyear GS614 14 ply trailer tires this time around.

How do we get more info on the 56 with diesels?

NASCAT 07-30-2016 10:19 PM

My suggestion would be to contact Terry Sobo at Nor-Tech.

A few more from today.
I really liked the clean look of the white and black boat but I think the silver and black take it to another level.

Went w/ a dove gray interior w/ the hopes it will camouflage the dirt a little better.

bill63 08-24-2016 06:33 PM

Looks great .. I like the rear seat ..

If I'm not mistaken you get the credit for the newly designed rear bench. The bolster style rear bench is now the new Nor-Tech std. Once I saw yours I was like "I want that!" and miraculously it didn't cost me any extra like everything else I normally see then want.

wananewboat 08-25-2016 07:31 AM

I love the silver and black, will this one also have 350's?

NASCAT 08-25-2016 07:42 AM

Yes sir, Triple 350's in Mercury Black. I'm not big on painted engine cowlings.
I prefer functional over fancy.

A big THANK YOU to Mark Bonafide, Rod Ashemore and all the folks at Evolution Trailer Technologies. I thought my last trailer was nice but they have once again raised the bar.
Many neat features like the ramp skids, power tongue jack, toolbox w/ both interior and exterior courtesy lighting not to mention the way they package it all. Very clean and neat workmanship. The brake controller is nicely tucked away in the C- Channel, the battery for the tongue jack as well as a master power switch are all packaged neatly inside the locking toolbox.

I know the industry recognizes a certain welded aluminum trailer manufacturer as the std but one would be foolish not to take a look at what Evolution Trailer Technologies offers. Not just from a pricing standpoint but value, quality, fit, finish, ability to customize and most importantly Customer Service!!

TV- you'd be better off contacting Mark Bonafide at Evolution in order to compare apples to apples for a trailer spec'd the way you'd want it.
941-979-5552

My trailer is custom length, has triple 7,000lb 10 deg up axles, 8lug hubs, 14ply tires, dual spares on hubs, ramp skids and more.

Myco is working around a 4mos lead time, Evolution less than 4 wks. My boat would have been completed before my trailer had I gone that route.

Shane 08-25-2016 01:03 PM

Unbelievable package. I expected nothing less from my favorite client.

wananewboat 08-25-2016 07:15 PM

Do those wheels match your truck wheels?

No sir, I prefer OEM truck wheels when it comes to my tow vehicle. They don't look as nice but it eliminates variables when it comes to vibrations, tire wear and or failures which I don't need while towing at 70mph.

The wheels on the trailer weren't my first choice but Evolution had them in stock w/ the optional Goodyear GS614 RST tires I wanted already mounted on them so it benefited us both mutually. The GS614's are an upgrade.

The black wheels sort of compliment the other black trailer accessories. My only real concern is the difficulty w/ cleaning them.

And I was thinking you were out of the detail business??

I'm in search of a spray on hose off product.

That's a GREAT looking trailer, again.

My only question is where are the tie down rings? Yet to be installed, based on when the boat gets set on the trailer?

You nailed it!

My boat has 380 K-planes so we decided to wait until the boat is sitting on the trailer to locate the tie downs placement.
Evolution normally installs nice Alum weld on rings but over time my tie down hooks ate into the Alum creating sharp burrs so we plan to drill and install U-bolts on this trailer.
My preference.
