May be a viable option in the future....
A buddy recently told me he knows marine stuff also.... I forgot about them, of course I am not looking either though...

I visited his shop in Kingston and made a deal to rebuild my Gen IV 454's. They turned out great, increased HP, fired immediately when I put them in the boat and ran flawless for years.
Thanks I guess we sometimes assume that "bad builders" never make good engines lol glad your experience was
good.

Ha! As long as our motors are done by boating season, who cares what order they're in!

Amen on the beers!

Are you coming up to Lake Erie / Sandusky this year? I owe you one!
I have all of the parts gathered up and will probably start on it this week. New XR and transom assy, going to go through the engine and freshen it up while I am at it. Eddie Young is building a new fuel injection setup that I am planning on trying.

You never know where I might show up. I plan on starting my boating season at Desert Storm this year and will take it from there. I still have that picture for you from tha Nashville run. If you will PM me your address, I will send it to you.

Stopped in to Champion Performance today to look over my disassembled engine and discuss the new build. Joe Soller took the time to look over all the parts of my engine with me and explain the condition of my pistons, bearings etc. I brought a list of questions with me and Joe answered every one of them thoroughly. We then discussed options for the new build and Joe made some recommendations. We agreed on the direction I would like to take with my build and Joe is preparing an itemized list of all parts and labor for the new build. I couldn't be more happy with my visit. Shop is very neat and professional looking.
I was curious about some builds they had in progress and Joe showed me around including some high profile builds in progress
