As I have said time and time again, there will be no winner here. As it was stated accidents are called accidents for a reason. My only issue is that some have read the "complaint" which is written by an attorney trying to win a case. They believe that everything included is 100% fact. They are wrong. I can file a "complaint" which states the sky is blue, however, it is up to me to then go into a court of law to prove it. Does the initial "complaint" have some merit? Absolutely... Is it 100% correct? Absolutely Not... You guys(the Jupiter Sunsations on this thread) act like the defendants wanted this tragedy to happen
... It could be said that if the boat wasnt so far behind, they wouldnt have pushed it so hard as to put the boat in a bad position to flip/roll. Being in a cockpit i know first hand the adrenaline rush and resulting loss of brain cells(common sense) and have so far been lucky as crap that I didnt get killed or killed my partner at the very same turn this tragedy took place. My ego got the best of me and I thought i could pull it off... I was wrong
There is no benefit to anyone passing in an accident. Yes things can be changed to make racing safer in the future.. The Lavin Foundation was created from an accident which resulted in death. If Mr Lavin hadnt of perished, would such a Foundation even exist? Would the cockpit standards even be in place hadnt that tragedy even happened? I dont know, nobody can know.
All we can do at this point is sit back and wait for the result of this trial. Regardless of the outcome, nothing good will come from it and instead of looking like children on here. I am sure Mr Trullio will write an article once a verdict is in and there is nothing that anyone on here can do and/or say to change the outcome

I strongly disagree that ANYONE would want this tragedy to happen......... loss of life for a fvckin trophy? GTFO........ You may want to review post #79
Interesting though how the same 3 guys are arguing on how great SBI and their safety crew/guidelines are great but now you recognize that this "initial complaint has some merit".......

I am bowing out now, good luck to you!!! I really dont have time for your biased opinions as I have remained unbiased throughout this process and am like most, waiting for the verdict to see what in case happens to a sport I have a huge passion for and chose to participate in

Why of course it has some merit... It stated that the boat wrecked on November 11, 2011 and that there was a loss of life... I mean come on, some things are obvious which in turn creates some of the "complaint" having some merit... I have recognized that from the beginning as has everyone in this world..... You are entitled to your opinion, but that doesnt make you right or wrong, but with your obvious statements in true belief that everything in the "complaint" is exactly how it happened, you are wrong.. As most everyone that is in the legal profession have stated on here, usually settlements are reached in civil cases like this to well in my words "make it go away" I guess with the US Coast Guard formal investigation and the insurance companies investigation maybe they know something we dont...

If you want to understand the facts, the evidence that the jury is exposed to, and the entire proceedings,,,,.......consider, registering and logging on:

Waiting for the "Verdict/Resolution", in absence of the facts will simply create another series of rumors and opinions

I am interested in hearing your story from last year...
The dive team saved your partner in Key West last year.
Does this mean you exited the boat 1st and the dive team rescued your partner ?
