what came about the meeting today? what are the next steps?

Real good meeting. Meet with Marsha, Janet, and David. We will be having the event at Pickwick it will be a weekend to be determined. On Saturday there will be a concert and raft up, on Sunday we will have a Poker run. Getting with the talent to see what dates will work for them then coordinate the date with that time frame. I will keep everyone up to date as more information becomes available. I like the idea of having more activities for the community other than just a poker run. Should be a big time.

great news. if there are anymore meetings at pickwick please let us know as I know us locals will begin to migrate that way on the weekends. would love to be involved in such a great event to honor carey and Floyd.

Will do, I will be talking to Marsha next week. I am leaving for Cozumel on Thursday next week so I don't expect a meeting until I get back a week later. When we do have another meeting I will let you know and invite you and anyone to come. How do you like the idea of a Concert on the water and a poker run the next day? We are also going to take suggestions on mini games for the participants on both days so get those cerebral juices flowing.

yea when I talked to david he said he was going to get Darryl Worley to put on a concert on the water with the big concrete pad he had that he could push to a spot with a boat. the unfortunate thing is that freddy T's isn't on the water and there isn't anywhere there is a lot of boat parking available so I don't know who could accommodate that for us. Chad put together a great event in Nashville this past year and I am sure he has some great ideas of what we could do. I know that the filling station restaurant is right on the water and have a lot of patio area that would fit a lot of people and they usually have a band there at night. we just need to get some of the main people of pickwick at a round table and see what we can come up with and how generous people are going to be to support the charity of choice. Was that discussed with Marsha and David today?

That very subject was discussed and we will be looking for a venue for all the boaters to park there boats, those who leave them on trailer and others who leave them in water. Planning on approaching a bunch of businesses and individuals for support and sponsorship. Again this is all beginning to take shape and there are a ton of unanswered questions. The one question that was answered is we will make it happen.
